Turin Show Car
As offered on Craigslist.
AMX/3 #4 had large metal flake in the blue-green paint, a white interior and was shown at a large car show in Turin, Italy.
Then it was sold to a member of the general public in 1971 for $7,500. Below is a picture of the car while still in the crate, for transpostation from Italy to the USA.
Upon taking delivery of his new aqua metal flake AMX/3, the original owner Jerry Werden immediately drove it to a girlfriends house and stored it in her garage that had a dirt floor where it sat for many years. Unfortunately the soil under the car produced a mold throughout the interior that turned it from white to black.
This is why some refer to this car as the “chicken coop” car. The car is now undergoing a complete restoration.
